A windy, rainy day. Torrential rain! It just so happened that today was a day I designated as a work day, so I picked the right one. Because there is a 5 hour time change between here and the east coast, my hours were 9 to 1 this morning, for my clients, it was afternoon in NYC and in Dallas. I am fortunate in the kind of work I do, it doesn't matter where we're all located. Everyone had a very satisfying call. Bob made us salads for lunch with local veggies. The colors of the fruit and vegetables here is outragious. Everything looks exaggerated. The lettuce is the greenest green I have ever seen (Dr. Seuss anyone?!). The plants all look they were the models for the artificial plants you find in stores. This afternoon we went shopping for souvenirs. We'll mail them back to KW at a local post office before the end of this trip so we don't have to carry. A rainy afternoon makes for good shopping. We had dinner on our lanai (porch which is covered by the lanai above it) overlooking the ocean. Tomorrow will post pictures of the flotsam and jetsam that washed up on the beach. Huge logs and lots of driftwood. I bet the condo groundskeepers will have it all cleaned up soon, but until then it is quite prolific. We are planning on walking the beach in the morning and meeting a friend from Brewster who now lives on Kauai in the evening.
