In Kauai, finally. Here till January 28. It will be good to be in one place for an extended period of time. Had an unusual view leaving the Big Island - the vog (volcanic smog) cleared long enough to see the top of Mauna Kea. There are 13 observatories up there at 15,000 feet and we could actually see some of them, both from the ground and then, thrillingly, in the air as we flew to Oahu. In the airport in Honolulu watched some of the Giant/Packer game while waiting for the flight to Kauai. Landed in overcast, unsettled weather and it's been intermittently showering. Big wind last night - 40 mph gusts. We re-acquainted ourselves with Kapaa today and got the condo supplied. Out to a meeting tonight. Tomorrow, it will be showery again so we'll do some shopping and are also planning on going to an Indian restaurant tomorrow night.
