It's Sunday and I can't believe I'm flying off to London in TWO days! I've been working on a project for my puppetry course (writing a script about Humpty Dumpty... it's not easy thinking up of motives that would drive an egg 'up the wall') and trying to repack my belongings. I sometimes think that someone should start a business that repacks other people's clothes on holiday (there's definitely an art to it - which I'm yet to really figure out).
I've also been soaking up as much Korean culture as possible before my departure. The photo for this entry sums up what I love about this little country - how everywhere you turn, you'll always find something that you've never seen before (and probably won't see anywhere else).
I almost forgot to say something about the wonders of Korean-English slogans. Here are some more slogans I found written on t-shirts at the Dongdaemun markets (I would have taken photos, but I think that may have a tad awkward with all the shop assistants around):
"More free daycare for teenage parents"
"Get Used" Jeans
"Smoky Volume"
"I just want backrub"
"It's myself. Camera Love." (I actually saw someone wearing this T-shirt!)
"Macaron? Sorbet One Hugs!"
"I want pony"
"STOP ACID RAIN"
"Lemon."
"Vitamin" (that was written on the rear of some denim jeans!)
"Standard Burgers"
I hope these slogans brighten up your day as much as they brightened up mine :)
