Well hellooo! Once again its dead early in the morning here as I just can't sleep in past 7. Although that might be because I crashed out at half eight last night after the cheapest dinner ever of some atomic yellow microwaveable macaroni cheese! This budgeting thing is going to kill me by the end, although hopefully the pressure will ease a bit when we get somewhere thats a weee bit cheaper. Oh and hopefully a little bit less inhabited by crazys. The mentals here are still well and truly out of hand. Although I am getting slightly better with it all, that is until frothing at the mouth man reappears me thinks. We went to Alcatraz yesterday. Whilst i'm glad we went it was the most miserable day ever. It was pissing it down with rain to start and thats not good with summer clothing! We decided to budget and get the bus and then missed our stop and didnt even realise until the (fattest) bus driver told us we were at the end of the line and had to get off. Luckily though he was the nicest man ever and let us get back on for nothing and shouted out when we had to get off to get there. Once we got there we had to queue for ages in the rain but once again a nice man came to the rescue and gave us an umbrella which was sweet. Once we were over there we did the audio tour which was quite interesting but the place was heaving and that coupled with the fact that one of us could feel our feet meant we decided to sack it and head back! God there was some moaning going on! Moods did improve with lunch though and then we spent the rest of the day watching MTV. Yup, thats right. We travelled thousands of miles to watch TV! We made our first travelling pal though! We met this guy from New Zealand in the Tv room and he was really nice. Well that is until he asked us if we w3anted to go to some crazy drugs fest with some creatures who obviously havn't realised that the summer of love if way over and eating hash cakes for breakfast is probably not the way to go. Not sure what were going to do today, although I think its involves trying to get across the Golden Gate Bridge by some means. I wouldn't mind walking across but its bloody raining again so think it might be a public transport event of some kind. Were blatantly gonna miss our stop again though and end up in Tijuana. Although maybe thats not such a bad idea....
