I think we arrived here two days ago? It's hard to keep the days straight lately. We are currently in San Vittore (the house of Dad and Antonella) about 20 mins from Verona. Soon I will move into a house with Antonella P. (the friend of Antonella aka the wife of my dad) in San Bonifacio. From here on out Anto (of my dad) will be known as Anto 1 and our friend Anto will be known as Anto 2. I am looking forward to that as it will be a time in which I can venture out more on my own. I do love being with the family, but I crave more solitary time than is possible here. San Vittore is in the countryside, you see, and I have no car. I can bike to San Bonifacio, but there are always things happening that seem to distract me from doing so.
Two days ago (due giorni fa) we drove into the hills around the house to look at the vistas. We stopped and picked wild flowers and then went to see Sabrina, the sister of Anto 1. Sabrina is lovely, but has some maladies and needs company frequently. It is a treat to see her again and I hope to see more of here while I'm here. Last time I visited she took me all around Verona. Yesterday we looked for cars for Anto 2 (she bought one today) and then drove dinner over to Sabrina's house. We then watched a movie (I think it was something about a night at the museum???) in Italian.
Another part of the family that is here right now is Marin. I very much enjoy his company as he is just about to depart for Australia (leaving much of his life here behind). In that way, we have much in common and it is a pleasure to talk and try to help him learn more English in the short time he has left here. I hope to find more friends like him soon.
Otherwise, I have been researching places to swim, bike etc. Oh, and we might go to Switzerland for the weekend. Fun yes!?!
Miss you all very much...
Hugs S.
