Had a slow train ride from London yesterday on national rail it was a three hour trip but lots of country side to see in that time , was amazing the difference in price for Virgin fast train at €144 to National rail €39 . Liverpool is much more modern and large than i thought , we are staying down on the docks area which is lovely , hoping to do a cycle tour around tomorrow , we have a hire car but you can't watch and drive ! Went for dinner at Jamie Oliver's restaurant , it was yummy and very reasonable price for what he calls his Italian feast ,Zena and i shared , it was an anti-pesto , then three dishes and polenta chips ...... chicken , spag and rissoto , .ro room for sweets .
