What a big day 20+ hours of travelling then another 5 hours to keep away before hitting the hay.
Few things I have learnt while flying solo, it is really hard to go to the loo with all your gear (in my case walking around like a packed donky with carryon backpack, handbag and laptop bag all packed to the limits!) then getting into the cubical and there are no hooks to hang anything so everything ends up on the floor. The few tricks i did ponder for this situation was use the disable toilets as they often had heaps of room. and use the loo on the plane before getting off so you are not carrying everything with you.
Got through immigration without any problems, so perhaps all that planning paid off or it wasn't ever going to be as hard as i imagined it would be... eitherway i got my IEC visa approved! also after being with immigration for 1hr i thought there was a good chance my suitcase was stolen.... but it also was sitting there next to the bag belt waiting for me
So with my bag in toe and all my aussie supplied with me still (cherry ripe, vegie mite, wheat heat pack etc) i marched on down to the taxi rank. Jumped in the cab and made it to my abode about 45min later. Traffic was pretty bad, but made it to my accommodation with a few hours of daylight left.
