My first full day in the city (sunday) and i had a blast. Was a bit dissapointed that i couldn't buy a transport pass on a credit card only cash at most stations and some stations had a debit card machine but still.... No Credit??? seriously? anyways i handed over my cash and made use of my all day riding. Spent time jumping on and off the subway and using the street cars. Went down to the Metro Convention Centre where the BA world conference was to see how to get there then stopped at the Eaton Centre - massive shopping complex in the middle of the city. Got myself a Canadian SIM and was set to go.

Am still a bit daunted by the subway with a number of platforms going north, south, east, west - still getting my head around how that all works and which direction i want to travel in terms of that! Oh how i miss the simplicity of roma street train station!
