With a new day comes the glorious view of the Camp WITHOUT old freaky naked people everywhere. The "alternative lifestyle group" were on their way on Wednesday and I've got to admit I was pretty happy it was all over.
We've been lucky enough to have fantastic weather for what seems like the whole time I've been here so far and the pool is finally getting a work out. Skinny Dipping was the order of the day before wednesday so we've had to resist the pool until now. Just like the summer heat, the work has also become more intense. I spent 6 hours today with a whipper snipper in my hand. Rumour has it I might get some meat on these bones of mine. We've been given the day off tomorrow, so we're looking forward to the opportunity to get off site again. There isn't really anywhere to walk to nearby so we're kind of stuck here and it's slightly problematic as it's usually "one in, all in" when it comes to going somewhere.
We've also had a new addition to the Pre-camp bunch, with Rebecca and 24y.o. Candian girl arriving on wednesday too. Needless to say camp gossip has since flourished with the arrival of fresh meat. The bookmakers are still out on the favourite, but Chris (the Aussie from Brissy) and Stu (the Kiwi) are looking like early frontrunners. stay tunned for updates.
The latest in the Saginaw-Tasman Golf Open is the announcement that the tournament will be played each Tuesday and Friday. That gives the reigning champ a few days to bask in his/her glory and also to ensure the novelty value doesn't wear off too quickly. I'm not sure if I updated you guys on the last round but Giggles (daniel, another Kiwi) smashed his way to a 7 stroke win with a score of -8, with me coming in second at -1. close but no cigar.
