We left Cairns early as the weather had set in. The trip seemed short as we followed the coastline north. Some magnificent countryside up this way but we are still in an urban feel. Lots of cars and people. Took a short detour to Mossman Gorge but decided not to pay to see something we thought should be free to everyone who tours here. Seems things have changed since native title.
It's still raining and we set up camp at the Daintree. Soon as we setup Greg got out the Bundy reserve. We sat by the Daintree river and knocked a far bit over with some beers. We didn't see any crocodiles but I think I saw a leopard on the other side of the river.
Tea was good, sausage sizzle and boiled spuds which we couldn't eat and will have tomorrow with our cornies.
