Got up late waiting for the rain to ease but no chance. Sleeping in the back of the L300 was comfortable. Jordan's sleeping bag was nice and warm but after a few turns it wrapt around me like a worm. Greg reckons I snore but he couldn't hear me over the rain . We had breaki and packed up. Because of the weather we decided not to go to Frazer Island but bolt north to some sun.
100 km down the road after avoiding and swerving through the worst drivers in Queensland Greg says we better pull over the car doesn't feel right. He was right the alternator s*** itself, this means we are in trouble. Greg managed to pull over into a reasonable safe zone and we had a look . Yep we are stuffed. Long way from any where but thank god for the RACQ they towed us back to a little place called Cooroy 30 km from Noosa. We booked the car into a mechanic and awaited our fate.
We booked into a auto motel for a couple of days and decided to go to the local RSL. These places are great why don't we have them in W.A we had 4 dollar schooners and a meal for 14 buck included was a roast and free sweets. We had a go at Keno and after 2 hours won 5 dollars, hard work but good fun. Back to the Cooroy motel and sleep.
