Well, we're leaving Austin in the morning after a thoroughly successful week here. Had a wicked time, plenty of nightlife and music. Met a girl whose name was Queen Victoria, which I found hilarious - especially after copious amounts of rum and tequila! Also while out drinking, we got talking to the cast of Changing Rooms USA. That's right - America's answer to Carol Smilie and Handy Andy! Very bizarre. The other night we went to a bar with a bloke on piano doing song requests. We were loving it and when he did Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart he didn't know the words - meanwhile I was singing at the top of my voice and he basically handed the singing over to me with the whole pub cheering! This will mean nothing to most people, but will come as no surprise to the family after Singstar antics! I bloody love that song. So, to sum up, Austin has been excellent. On the downside, we've got another 24-hour bus journey ahead of us :( We've decided to go to Rocky Mountain country and so are spending a few days in and around Denver, Colorado, before hitting Vegas for my birthday (June 8th) and then the West Coast. So many people have said Colorado is beautiful and worth seeing - thought we might as well squeeze it in. Soz about the lack of Austin pics - nowhere to plug your camera into the computer here so it's gonna be another picture special once we reach Denver. Bon voyage! PS I hear the BBC is axing Neighbours in the spring and it's moving to Channel Bloody Five. Honestly, I go away for five minutes....
