Hello from the Mile-High City! It's extremely wet and cold here, which I've gotta say is a massive relief after the heat of the last few places. Denver seems cool, though most of my thoughts are naturally concentrated on the Battle of Athens, which gets underway at 12.45pm Mountain Time. Come on you Reds! Everyone will be pleased to know I've done my research into sports bars in Denver and there are loads. It feels very strange being out of the loop in the build up but I'm trying to keep my finger on the pulse. I will be sure to scare the locals with some hooligan-esque behaviour, and depending on the results my next update will either be in the tone of ?or . Fingers crossed - my thoughts are with all Liverpool fans back home. In other news, we're recovering from yet another gruelling, 24-hour bus journey. Managed to sleep a bit of the way but the power of buslag should never be under-estimated. It's 7pm and Martin has just gone to bed. We're very high up in the mountains?here and the altitude apparently makes it very easy to get drunk. Should be interesting if Stevie G and the boys do the business in the footie!!
