So today, the 18th, we toured the Great Ocean Road. 580 kilometers round trip with a 12 hour day. We left about 8 a.m. and went up thru Geelong, to Bells Beach where they hold world surfing championships, to Apollo Bay for lunch and to do a quick meet-n-greet with one of Peter's friends, Andrew, who lives there, then on to the 12 Apostles, Loch Arch Gorge, and London Bridge (which by they way really did fall down, at least here in Australia).
The sandstone rock formations and the drive along the ocean are absolutely phenomenal! Sorry folks, but am still working on the photos, so the one I've posted here is a general selection photo from the site. Hopefully tomorrow. Because they are amazing!
A BIG shout out to my big brother and sister, Matt and Evanne. I used their gift to purchase a helicopter ride over the 12 Apostles. It was an incredible experience as I am afraid of heights and have never been in a chopper before. To be honest, it is the coolest thing I've done in my life so far and would recommend it to anyone as an opportunity of a lifetime. You won't believe the pictures. Thank you Matt and Evanne!
More soon, I just wanted to say hey!
