I started my day off by going to the Centre Georges Pompidou which was a pretty impressive building. There was a really long line so I opted not to go in. Next I walked a few blocks to Notre Dame. There was a service going on while I was inside, a memorial of sorts marking the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice. After watching and looking around a bit I waited in line to climb to the bell tower. The stairs went on forever! Just before my legs gave up we reached the top and the view was worth it. The gargoyles on the top looked a lot like the Disney representations in The Hunchback of Notre Dame! I also saw the giant bell Emmanuel. After Notre Dame I wandered around the Latin quarter until it started getting really dark. I never managed to find much of what I was looking for there but I didn't realize just how expansive the Latin quarter was!
