Today was our last full day in Samui and we were planning on making the most of pool, beach and sun.... but the sun didn't show its face and we slept in very late, so missed breakfast.... which meant we went to the Shamrock Bar for brekky and then milled around the pool reading til the mossies came out....
And then it was dinner time! We decided the beach was the place to go for our last night and found a lovely place, on sun loungers, to enjoy a green curry and other Thai delights, including cocktails from naked lady glasses! It really is idyllic lying on the beach eating dinner!
We went from there back up to the beach road and, upon hearing some 80s music blasting from the top of some rickety steps, found ourselves in the Mosquito Bar. How apt, considering the ridiculously itchy bites covering our bodies! The cocktails, howeer, were horrid. Cringe worthy - Sara had a naked-lady-glass cocktail which she could only drink by gulping and holding her breath and Dan had his first Sang Som whisky with coke of the night, a fairly strong one too.
It was still only 9pm-ish so we hit the first stretch of girly bars and enjoyed some jenga, straw-twisting and number crunching games with the ladies, while drinking more cocktails and whiskies! Still an early night so we hit the next stretch and settled in for the long-haul at one bar where a particularly curvy lady took a fancy to Sara and the jenga and Connect-4 were quickly introduced.
From there it all gets a little... well, forgotten! Sara went off at about 11.15pm for a foot massage and dead-skin removal, which took 40 minutes rather than the expected 20... and returned for some more cocktail drinking, B52 shooting, pole dancing (yes, us on the pole with the girls!), bell ringing and general drunken shennanigans! Who knows what time it was we left though we suspect about 2am. The photos tell part of the night but our memories are more than a little fuzzy - definitely had fun though!!
