Today we hired a moped, 125cc, similar to that which we hired in Chiang Mai - such a great way to get around, and this time we've hired it for 2 days.
We set out around usual time - ie 11am - after Dan has a fitting for his shirt (-s ~ yes, now plural!). We head South on the Ring Road and go to see Hin Ta Hin Yai which is the Grandfather and Grandmother rock. Basically Grandfather is shaped like a willy and Grandmother is shaped like the female equivalent. Hilarious!
From there, we headed inland slightly and wound our way up a really big hill, stopping at Wangsaothong waterfall - though we didn't really see much of a waterfall, just a bit of water landing on some rocks! We headed a little further upwards to the viewpoint, which was cool. Then we headed back down, back to the main road and sort of meandered our way round the entire island really! We stopped regularly for drinks, passing Bang Kao, Thong Krut, Nathon, Bang Po, Maenam and stopping for lunch in Bo Phut, I think it was. Lunch was at 4pm though so we headed home to sit by the pool after a long, bum-achey day!
Dinner was in a haunt somewhere on Lamai Beach road, very nice!
