Milene in Africa
Ok so tonight is my last night in the Manson Hotel in Mombasa and tomorrow I'm moving in to my homestay. I've met the girl I'm sharing with, her name is Ellie, she's Irish and really nice. She says the house is cool. We won't be able to start our placements until wednesay because of some new volunteer stamp thing we need in our passport. So I'll let you all know how things go. We are going to an animal orphanage tomorrow and later in the afternoon we are off to a beach resort for some games and activivities. On Tuesday morning we are going to a village that still lives in the old tribal costumes, so in all, everything is becoming the biggest adventure of my life! I'm loving it! It rained a bit, but I've just got my sunglasses back on now. The food is great, lots of eastern influence, spices and curries. It just takes forever to comes once you ordered. I've been riding in Matatus (overcrownded minibuses) and the ferry. Yesterday we went to Tiwi Beach... a paradise of white sands and cool blue water. I'm still very tired but I've had a brillant night sleep under my blue mosquito net. Pictures are still on my camera but I'll try to put them online a.s.a.p. Until then ... take care. I'll be in touch when I can.
