Today we decided that we would make our way back to picton & get the night ferry back to Wellington, so that we could get a full day to explore it.
On the way, we checked out the "longest swing bridge in New Zealand" across 'Buller Gorge'. Unfortunately it was not that impressive, so we quickly made use of their toilet facilities & were back on our way!
As we had a bit of time to kill before getting the ferry, we swung by Nelson on our way. Pez was on the lookout for some smart clothes for his cousin's wedding on Saturday & luckily Nelson has all the charity shops you could want! So he picked up a very nice pair of trousers for only $4! We also had a massive amount of falafel for lunch, which made Pez a very happy 25 year old! (see photo).
Once we arrived back at Wellington, we drove up a hill to park up for the night. It was really high up, so we had an amazing view over-looking the lights of Wellington, whilst drinking Scrumpys cider & eating cadbury's caramel chocolate.
The perfect ending to Pez's birthday.
