Our last two days in New Zealand have been spent with Maz's dad Baz, who we met up with in Auckland & is now also here to travel for a month! Like daughter like father.
On our final day we went to see the maritime museum, which was convieniently opposite our hotel! It is a massive museum that could entertain for a whole day, but there is only so many naughtical items you can take in before you start to feel like the tide is turning!
As it was our last night in Auckland we thought we would go somewhere rad for dinner. We ended up choosing a brazilian place called 'Wildfire', again convieniently located opposite the hotel on the docks. The speciality they served was known as 'Churrasco', which is a brazilian BBQ with meat cooked over glowing coals. You get an unlimited wide range of meat, which are brought to you on large skewers on your demand by turning a block of wood to green for 'go' or red to 'stop'. At one point we had four waiters around our table piling meat on to our plates before we got to grips with the green & red system!
We also indulged in some 'Caipirinhas', which are brazilian cocktails made with lime, sugar & cachaca. After this dinner extravaganza Baz & Pez needed some Brandy to settle their stomachs from the feasting.
Once we were all feeling relatively well again, we collected our suitcases from the hotel, said goodbye to Baz & hopped on a bus to the airport to begin our travels in Hong Kong...
