Day 10 EPCOT
Up early for opening and went straight to an area where you work an electron microscope. Looked at leaves, butterflies and salt.
Then onto a 360 screen about colours followed by computers where we had hands-on creating and matching colours. Before going in we talked to the staff re snakes and they explained about the local black ones, Racers. Very fast and very timid, likely what we saw. They also said there was boa constrictors over 10ft long, up to 18ft. Once a year they do hunts and give prizes. They are ex-pets released by owners and they end up in the wild areas away from people. Plenty of food.
Then there was a ride where you built your own ride and strapped into seat to experience. It spins, goes upside down etc and you could see people living the ride they built on computer. Not for me!
Fast Pass time then onto Spaceship Earth. It was dark but slow and educational about writing and learning and technology. After ride you got to play games. I did remote surgery to build a body. Then onto a game where you used floor sweepers to score energy points. Just as we were leaving area I saw a car racing game, did that as well.
Next to a ride about growing plants. Did it last week, but really enjoyed it. On the way a squirrel was being fed by a lady. She gave me some nuts to feed it. It was cute and tame, loads of people around it. When I fed it, it grabbed my hand and then took nut out of it!
Dad mentioned a good show called Ellen. We went over and it sounded fine. Just sit in large vehicles (about 50 in each) and story happens around you as they move. It was dark, loud in parts and some dinosaurs. I was ok, big cuddles and I got really into story. It was all about energy and how to supply our needs.
I wanted to go to country areas and that was next as lunch was booked in France. I had lovely chicken and chips, check out my impression of a Frenchman in photos! I tasted dad's French onion soup, it was amazing, could not see soup with layer of cheese and bread. Had 2 big spoons full but that was enough.
With the starter, waitress brought a paper bag. Dad said to feel it, bag was hot and I guessed it was a pasty. He looked at me and we both laughed!
Dad was really full after soup and still a big main meal to follow. Then came his dessert as part of 3 course meal. He did not want it so I said I would share. Waitress split it - yummy ice cream, hot chocolate sauce and some pastry. I ate all mine!
After lunch I said I wanted to do China, see butterflies and then home. On way we went through Morrocco and very relaxing area, strong incense smells, hot sun and cool shady courtyard. Dad suggested we sat on cool stone bench in shade. I rested my head on his lap and fell asleep! Woke up after 15 minutes and said I had not slept! Then asked how long I was asleep. Power nap dad called it. Felt really good and ready to move into China. On the way I stopped to see a street performer and then saw a bush of Simba so we did a photo. Finally we arrived at China and acrobats I wanted to see had just started. This time outside on mats in the lovely weather. I watched all of it and then told dad I didn't want to go to butterflies, ready to go back to villa. Got there by 4 and onto my iPad. Day was very relaxed, but nice to be back home.
We talked about Timmy pictures we were sent by kennels and I said I missed Timmy and wanted a cuddle with him. Asked when we are home, didn't realise it was so soon. Only 2 more full days.
Last night I wanted to go home, today I do not. Dad said it was because we had 2 days of doing nothing much and I was probably bored. Once I got into theme parks I said I wanted to stay, dad took me past England and said we were home!
To wind down, dad has set up next 2 days so we only have 1/2 day in parks. No rush, just stroll and enjoy with booked meal and 3 Fast Passes.
I got to choose rides to Fast Pass and dad is not bothered if we do not go on them. We missed one today as I was enjoying the after lunch stroll and nap. I asked if it cost money to miss a ride - it's ok dad said, Fast Pass charges are waived for members, just like parking charges. $20 a day for parking sounds a lot, guess visitors have no choice! I looked at all the cars, thousands every day at each park times $20, wow!
Which reminds me, we nearly lost the car today. The big golf ball thing at EPCOT is so big that using it for directions is tough. We knew row number, and we were close to entrance but started walk in wrong direction before correcting. A few others were looking around too!
Dad offered a swim when we got back but I was just happy to relax on sofa. Went to sleep thinking of Timmy. He must be on my mind after those photos.
