Day 3 EPCOT
We went in late morning so we could have a lie in. Aim was to stay for fireworks if I was up for it later.
Entrance area was amazing, flowers everywhere as it's the location for the International Flower Festival. Great displays with some Disney themes, characters etc. We went into Festival exhibits including a butterfly tent with loads of butterflies. Was even a box full of pupa at different stages. One was completely out with wings still all screwed up.
Lunch was special, very hot outside but we went into Mexico pyramid and it was nighttime and restaurant was by a fake river. I pretended to be asleep but was licking my crackers!
We did some shows and then went to a ride called Space Mission. It sounded ok, there was even an option of intense ride or calm. It was a simulator and dad said we would go in the calm queue. When we got to ride, they said even this would be a bit rough. I got really frightened and as doors opened dad took me out. The sign said intense ride could make you motion sick even if you had not had it before. Once away from ride I could do second part of ride, go on computer and work on rocket systems. It was a relief to get out as final warning really worried me. Dad said it worried him too, especially when they gave one final option to exit ride as simulator doors opened. No other rides do that and this was the calm option! Very out of place for EPCOT as all other stuff is educational or light.
We went on a walk around the countries then, that was good. You could feel the difference in each area and some had good rides. Canada and China had 360% films. Both good but China better as they had acrobats first doing a show before the film. Did not get to do all areas so we will come back. Did do an interesting ride about growing things, plants and fish. Also a ride that ended up with us in an aquarium. We spent ages there as small ranks plus massive one with sharks, dolphins and manatees.
Missed a few shows at start as we went to find a good place for fireworks. They were incredible, plus lasers and a big globe as well in the water in front of us.
