Wish it didn't happen
Losing my luggage before the run
Every taxi experience
Headache after marathon party
Surprised by
The building of everything. Dams, buildings, roads you name it
Everywhere people walk so slow.Happy to push and cue jump but walking in no hurry
Everything so clean and tidy and efficient
Did that just happen. Have limited this to three. Here goes
As with picture. Most kids under about 4 have assless pants so the can have a quick squat. Always I've only seen wee but this one the kid was s***ting on a plastic bag. Best part it was in modern shanghai outside a McDonald's!
The clearing of the throat and spitting I think is a national past time here. I hate the sound and think it should be left to the sports field only. Each day walking about is a cacophony of throat clearing. In Xian I had the misfortune to walk past a guy who turned his head a spat on my foot. Luckily he didn't seem to mind! I just had to use my bottled water to wash my jandal and foot.
Lastly a random one. I was having a pee in a public urinal in xian. I went to the far end which had about 2m of space so not to splash back anyone else. Once I was "set up" a Chinese guy came over and stood right beside me, almost touching my foot with his. He then leaned forward and checked out my junk! I looked at him and said "You alright" and he just smiled and walked off!!! He didn't even pee. Not sure what he'd heard about a westerner but one things for sure he would have been disappointed.
So that's me and my china.
Also thanks to Rach for putting up blog entry's as I'm incapable of figuring anything out to do with technology after the Casio F10.
