Hello there!

I am currently enjoying Cairns, which so far has been amazing, very hot and lots of things to do... which is a change from Magnetic Island, which was very boring and rained the whole time, not to mention the staff who were very unhelpful and wouldn't even give me my key deposit back, grrrrrr!!

Today i went to the zoo, I will upload some pictures when i get a chance, but I fed some Kangaroos, held a koala, all in all it was a great experience!! Now I need to go and get food and have some more beer!! speak to you all soon!!xx

Hello everyone, I am still alive, don't worry!! Just about!! Cairns is definitely a party city!! I have been here for nearly 3 weeks now and I still don't want to leave. The reasons being, it's cheaper here than Sydney (my next stop before Thailand), there are so many cool people here to hang out with and usually get drunk with! There is a quality bar called the Woolshed, where you can get a massive steak and chips for $10 which is 4 pound 50 english, can't complain!! The hostel I am staying in is called Gilligans and it's pretty much a hotel, 5* hostel, 4* hotel for so cheap, really nice rooms, great swimming pool and the weather is so hot here too! So it works out better that I stay here for a few more days and delay going to sydney to stay with my friend I used to go Uni with, as he will want to go out every night etc, Sydney is very expensive, more so than London, so the least time I spend there the better!

I have been literally, eating, sleeping, gymming, swimming, chilling out, meeting loads of cool people, lots of hot girls too ofcourse ;) it's actually quite nice aswell to be in one place for a while, get to know it, because so far i spend maybe a week in a place, just get to know it, then leave.

Another amazing and very random thing about my time in Cairns is I bumped into my corporal who trained me up for the marines, he is out here with his wife for a month long holiday, it was so good to see him again, it was just like old times, he keeps tryng to boss me around!! haha, I am off to see Cape Tribulation and the rainforest for a day trip next week before flying to sydney where I hope to go and see a Sydney FC game... I will put up some pictures this evening, hope everyone is well xx
