Hi There everyone!
Sorry its been so long but we havent really been up to much, nothing exciting enough to write about anyway, just working saving and living next to the beach, its a hard life. As you can tell I am writing thi sblog not Matt so I apologise in advance for the lack of comedy genius that usually keep you updated with our trip.
We actually did tourist things this weekend so thought we would give a quick update. we headed off to the Blue Mountains with Pete, Sandra and Nick on Saturday. Nick drove us at first which was scary enough as he has only just got his L's and has driven a car about three times!! Luckily he was a natural and we made it there in one piece. The Mountains were beautiful hard to believ ethey ar eonly an hour from Sydney. We went to the three sisters first and whilst there decided to do a bit of exploring and thought that th egiants steps seemed like an exciting place to start. How wrong we were 900 steps later we got to the bottom of a valley and realised there was nowhere to go but back up all 900 steps. Buns of steel!!! Once we made it back (in 15 minutes how fit are we) we had a well deserved rest and never to miss a photo opertunity sat next to soem huge Abo guy who had his Diggery Do out. The Blue Mountains used to be a huge mine and there is a scenic train ride that takes you around. Senic train ride that is the steepest in the world I was terrified and everyone thought it was hillarious especially Mr Langley he is so mean to me. It turned out not to be too bad and it was really interesting with a gorgeous walk through the forest and amazing views of waterfalls. Then back to Pete's for a goo dold Aussie BBQ and a couple of beers Quality!
Sunday we headed to the Southern beaches and a place called Jervis Bay, you drive through lots of pretty little villages that were actually very English feeling with a couple of extremely inviting pubs and as the sun was out and it was sunday it was perfect pub weather but as it was 10am we decided to get to the beach first. Jervis bay was out of this world white sand and turquoise sea it looked like the carribean it was a littl ebreezy though so we headed to the pub for a bit of fish and chips and a well deserved drink.
Back to work today though boo hoo! Looking forward to this weekend got a big night planned on friday for Sarah as she is coming over from Dubai and then off to watch the Semi finals of the rugby with a group of mates on sat so I am sure I will alocoholically poison myself at some point over the weekend.
