Thats right folks we have made it all the way to sydney without killing eachother or anyone else, cant beleive we have been away now for over 4 months, time flys when ur having fun! Erins family have put us up in there house for a while until we sort ourselves out, they live outside the city a bit in a really nice area, as u can see from some of our photos defo our best lodgings so far, they have a beautiful house with a pool and everything its great, they are a really nice family and have made us feel really welcome its a real bonus. Pete took me to the olympic stadium with some freinds of his and his son nick to watch the world cup qualifier between australia and china, the olympic site is huge shame about the ozzie footy team tho they are even worse than watching england! We also went to watch nick in his footy game he notched a neat little goal as the pics show a very composed finish, get in! sydney itself is huge we havent actually got round to seeing very much of it yet but what we have seen is amazing, like darling harbour and the bridge. Most of our time has been spent job hunting and looking for our own appartment a bit closer to the city, erin has scored already landing a nice little job in bondi junction, and we are putting in an offer on an appartment tommorrow at bondi, so fingers crossed! I have an interview tommorrow so we have some office attire to try and swing it my way? There is so much to see and do here its going to be impossible to get round all of it, but we are going to try! in the mean time, stay classy san diego!
ed]Hello folks sorry we havent been in touch for a w3ile, just in case anyone does look at our blog! We have been busy since our last entry we had our offer accepted on the flat in bondi beach its really nice and the beach is on our doorstep, bondi is quality its full or bars and cafes selling great food and the beach is just amazing theres always something going on here. Another bonus is we are just 15 mins from the city centre now so for work its much easier for us, erins job is going great and i have just got a job for a publishing firm on darling harbour as a sales executive so happy days! Apart from that we have just been getting ourselves settled in we had a big night out when a few of my mates from cov came over also erin got us free tickets to the state of origin game so we took paul sadler with us too who is also from back home but living in sydney at the moment. We are really loving Sydney and cant wait to do some more exploring as we haven't had a lot of time for sight seeing but what we have seen has been great. Eventhough its winter its sunny everyday and is not that cold so bring on summer!
Just another quick update if anyone is still interested, sydney is one of those citys where we never seem to arrange anything but always seem to be busy doing something, last weekend we took the Brennan family out for a meal at a nice italian in cronulla as a sort of thankyou for all there help since we have been in sydney and for putting a roof over our heads it was really nice, this weekend we went out again to see my cousin and family in Parklea again theres always a lot of drinking and watching sport involved so we were happy, I also managed to squeeze in a round of golf with mark and greg in the blue mountains, it was the most beautiful golf course ive played on, right in the heart of the mountains. All's still so good over here, really settling into the way of life, Surf's up go to go!
