So we head back to our beloved La Paz (only this time with friends, a renewed love for cocktails, a public toliet with no doors and a puking out of a bus window incident under our belts) and book ourselves onto the ´Death road´ tour. This was a day long mountain biking trip where we biked down the ´world most dangerous road.´ Now I think I am pretty brave when it comes to most things but at times I felt like throwing myself off the 600m high cliffs just so I would no longer have to deal with the road (aka dirt track) i was currently ´riding´ down. It was impossible to brake due to the sliding effect this would cause on the dirt beneath you so it was just simply better to go fast and just ignore the lack of barriers stopping you from plumeting to your death. As you can tell, I am physically and mentally scarred forever. And it gets no safer when we arrive back in La Paz as we then experience our second incident of South American crime. Due to a festival on in the city, the streets were really crowded and when we finally managed to squeeze our way back to our hotel, I noticed that someone has slashed open the side of my bag, I´m guessing in an attempt to pick pocket me. I had read about this kind of thing happening in my guide and fortunately nothing was taken but I still mourn the loss of my favourite bag. Bolivian criminals 0, Girls on tour 2. Better luck next time suckers...
