Waking up with bruised fingers and palms (clearly gripping the handle bar way too tight) we pack our bags and head for Copa, Copacabana from where we cross into Peru. Although we are excited about the next part of our adventure, we are sad to be leaving Bolivia after an amazing two weeks. Although the evidence of Bolivia's position at the bottom of the south American wealth league table is everywhere (you seldom see private car on the road, instead minibuses, taxis and 'turista' buses carry locals and visitors alike, children run business and man check points and the level of sanitation is completely sub standard (hand sanitised is a must.)) Bolivia has such a charm to it and offers such a range of experiences, landscapes, climates (!) and food. Although we leave on a high (just emotionally of course) we are saddened that we are yet to solve the mystery surrounding Bolivian women´s love for top hats....
