Not much happened today... I woke up at almost 12 noon which was nice!! I felt very well rested.
I pulled myself out of bed a few hours later, and spent the next 2 or 3 hours just wandering around Thamel. I picked up the trousers I asked the tailor to make yesterday, and they're beautiful!! I tried them on later and they're so comfortable!! I also finished my book "the girl who fell from the sky" - Sally Hargrave I think you'd quite like it. It's during the Second World War (I think) and how this woman is sent on a mission from England to France, and what all goes on there. The ending is the worst ending I've ever read, but maybe that's because there's a second book or something, I don't know. Sally I'm afraid I can't let you borrow it, because I swapped it for another book called "the river house" which after the first few chapters is good.
I didn't do much else when wandering round, apart from but a few small presents for people's birthdays when I get back, and bought myself some supper from a bakery. I then went back to my room in the hotel and ate it, whilst watching "shutter island" on my iPad. Even after so many viewings, I am still very confused about it all...
Today I think the strike was still going, although there were a couple more taxis around... Still millions of rickshaws and motorcyclists (I guess they can go through on strike!), and still lots of traffic police and security guards on every corner and alleyway. I'm guessing the strike will go on from now until the elections or just after (elections are on the 19th, this time next week actually).
I still have a cold, but my nose is much better, as in isn't blocked. My sinuses however are blocked, and I have a very raw and sore throat, all together making me sound like a man. But no one really hears me speak so it's all okay!! Fingers crossed with lots of sleep, water, and cheap strepsils I'll be back to normal by the time Liam gets here (5 sleeps to go!!!!!!!!)
