Jason, Martin (& Co) Across the USA!
We know the day is going to end in Nebraska so we waste as much time as possible in the morning. As we had decided to celebrate the impending trip through Nebraska by not waking up and missing the hotel breakfast, we stop off at Barnes & Noble for magazines and cinamon rolls.
It takes a couple of hours to reach the Colorado border and pass into Nebraska with the Rockies disappearing in the rear view mirror. Nebraska is as expected, mile upon mile of cornfield. We did have a more interesting route planned that avoided the state but had to cut corners as a result of acts of international acts of nearly-terrorism. b*****. We've set aside three days to get out the other side of farmland and to our friend Anisa's house near Minneapolis, three states away from our starting point in Colorado.
By the end of the day we've made it to the Nebraskan capitol, Lincoln - just over halfway between Denver and Anisa. We call Anisa to check if we're ok to arrive a day early and as this is fine we decide to push on the next day all the way to her house. In the meantime we wander round in a vague search of food and come across a taco shop that serves what can only be described as vaguely food. End up buying extra ready meals from a gas station only to find that the hotel don't provide forks, so once the breakfast area is successfully raided we finallly eat.
