Last day in Queenstown today and the last few days have been very very busy and fun fulled. The first day here I tried to go skydiving, but the weather wasn't playing ball, so return back to the town. However, the day was not lost as I went up to the top of the hills surrounding Queenstown and had amazing views. At the top there is Luging, which is basically a small gokart without an engine going down the hill. It was such good fun for something so simple. The next day was spent mainly on a bus going to Milford Sound (a glacial lake). The weather was a bit rough again, but this meant there were hundreds of mini-waterfalls into the lake, which made it even more spectular. The area around here is great as there is just a bit of snow on the mountains still, but warm enough to enjoy it.
Then the start of the crazy activities. First came the bungy jump on the world's third largest jump a staggering 134m or about 400 feet. I was the last to go and had to watch everyone before me jump. The feeling of failing is intensive but was great at the same time. I had attempted to go skydiving that morning but there was thunder and lightening - so not really the best day to do it. Third time lucky on the skydive today. The flight up to jump point of 15,000 feet was awesome. You could see all the way to the sea and all over the Remarkable mountain range. The fall lasted for 65 seconds and was over so so quickly. The adrelin rush was much better than that of bungy jumping. After an intensive free fall comes the calm paragliding part of the skydive. It was just brilliant...
