Hello - we made it and are currently out and about near Khao San Road - my hair is getting frizzier by the minute (this is Zoe and not Mark by the way) and wait for it ........ i'm WARM!!!!!!!

Trip over was fine, EVA airways are lovely and totally recommend them. We celebrated NYE by, after everyone being previously told to close the window shutters, then at midnight over Slovenia being told to open the shutters and seeing thousands upon thousands of miniture firework displays below us - it was truly a magical sight and moment to start our 2012 trip with.

Both Mark and I are still walking around in a bit of a surreal bubble so we are just going to go have some food and beer before heading for some much needed sleep and hopefully waking up to find out this is all not a dream.

So we are here safe, none the wiser but very hungry and sleepy - must find a map soon too!
