I can't say that we were not warned about the bumpy tractor ride! We were advised to wear sports bras, which I am definitely in agreement with.

The day started out in the rain. We left Tortuguero by boat, switched to a van, and then finished off the day on the tractor. Wow, what an experience. The bumps were well worth the views. We went through a lot of mud and across a couple of streams. I missed the Toucan that flew past. We arrived at a very beautiful remote lodge and had an exceptional home cooked meal. After dinner we had a bonfire and introduced our non-Canadian friends to smores. Yummy!
