YAY I'm now a open water diver! I've passed my exam and all the exercises. I had my last dive saturday and it was really great. While we are practicing our buoyancy the instructor comes over to me and shows that I have to cross my arms, and then he flips me around, so that I'm now hanging up side down in the water. Cool feeling hanging there and sort of loosing your sense of direction. All you could see was clear blue water and hear yourself breathing. There was a lot of fish around the corals. We swam over an area where there was a lot of stingrays. While you were swimming a stingray would suddenly appear from underneath the sand anmd swim away. Pretty cool heh! At one of the corals our instructor hadushold out our hand and a type of shrimp started to clean your hand. We had a maximum deepth of 19,7 meters.
I have also decided to continue diving by taking the advanced course together with some other students. Really looking forward to this!
This week our normal schedule has also started. We have had some culture studies, where a swedish lady, who now lives on Zanzibar, came and told us her story about how she came here 20 years ago and met a man. Really good story. Wehave also had psycologi (selvindsigt), which was also good. And of cours sports. We had to run a Coopers test yesterday (for 12 min you run as far as you can). It was really hard in this heat.
Lots of love from Zanzibar
