Today was definately an interesting one. One of the girls and I decided that we were going to travel to the small town of Nemi that is famous for thier tiny strawberries. We started out the day by walking from the palace to Genzano (2 miles away) to catch the bus to Nemi. We arrived in Nemi and went to buy our jelly to take home in just a few short weeks. We were done with our shopping *bought 20 pounds of jelly* but had forgotten that the bus only came certain times so we ended up waiting 2 hours for the next but to take us back to Genzano. Once we arrived back to the first town we grabbed another bus that would take us to Albano. Once we arrived their we got the grand idea to go visit the Popes house in Castel Gandolfo (yet another bus ride). Once in Castel Gandolfo we got off the bus and litteraly had no idea of where we were.. so we just started walking, hopeful that it was the right direction. We eventually made it to the Popes house and did a little more shopping around the square before setting off to find the bus stop to take us back to Albano. We got back to Albano and set off on the 1/2 mile hike back home. It was defnitely a fun filled day but after walking over 10 miles, getting on 5 different buses our feet were killing us. Even in the most comfortable shoes my feet just screamed at me.
