When I first decided to cycle across Australia people said, "you can't cycle across the Nullarbor". I told them thats the bit that I most wanted to cycle. Thats the challenge, either side of it is the ornamental bookends. The Eyre highway runs across the Nullarbor, which means treeless plain as there is nothing, nout, nada. As well as being the largest piece of limestone on earth it also contains the 2nd longest straight road in the world. From Norseman to Ceduna it is 1200km long. The Nullarbor attracts people from across the world attempting to cross it in a variety of ways. A couple of weeks ago a guy dressed as a storm troper walked across, last week a African guy was running across, currently there is a convoy of vintage cars and motorbikes crossing (I expect to pass them), not to mention Mike he is probably halfway across by now and tomorrow I will begin crossing. Setting of from Norseman I will cycle East for 14 days till I reach Ceduna in South Australia. This s***s about to get real!!!

Kirsten Short Hi Luke, Well done and keep going! Sounds very extreme. Enjoy and take care. Kirsten x
Lindsay Luke. Keep it going boyo. Not sure that the bookends were just ornamental but the fun part is just ahead before you get to the pretty bit. At least you can see the Roos coming if they are stupid enough to come out. great stuff mate, bonzer effort. In the words of Brucie keeeeeep pedallllling. Lindsay
