Got woken up at 6 by Muzza, can't remember his morning rhyme exactly but sure made me laugh! I got up and out fo the tent straight away and he was stood at the top of the little sand dune, I ran across and so did Bruno and Patrick. We were in time to see the first peek of sun at sunrise! I was absolutely beautiful. The perfect picture, the sand then the sea then the sun rising. Everntually everyone was up and out their tents and we all watched as it cleared the horizon - we were in for a sunny day! Spent a couple of hours getting ready, having breakfast and packing up our tents then headed of in the 4x4's. Now, I have written "bus!" on my list of thngs to write about in my blog, but have no idea what that means! So will get back to you on that if I remember! But as far as I remember, we drove for an hour or so along the beach and got to a massive Shipwreck which looked amazing. Had been a luxury cruise ship origionally, had a few different roles including in the first world war, and eventually eneded up getting caught in a storm and ended up here! Most of it was buried under the sand but there was still a fair bit above the service! Murray had some interesting stories to tell about it, like how people flocked to it to rob what had been left on board. A guy had been ordered to sell the stuff to try and make some money from peoples looting and wasn't allowed to leave the job till it had all gone, so he ended up getting married on the shipwrecked ship! Got some photos then carried on up to Indian Head, a coastal headland on the most easterly point on the island. Was a pretty tough climb to get up there, felt a bit unsafe if I am honest!! Was super high aswell, no barriers to stop you going right to the edge of the 60 meter drop onto rocks! Aborigional were once hunted on the island and the mothers, elders and children were found and gathered on the top of Indian Heads and thrown off the edge! The views were incredible though, 75 mile beach stretching out either side of you. It's meant to be amazing for whale watching too in the right season. We then climbed back down (scary!) and went on a short drive to the champange, some big pools on the beach formed where the water has been trapped by some rocks. Like big rock pools really! They were lovely to chill out and swim in. They're names Champagne Pools and when the waves are big and crash over the rocks the pools fill will bubbles and are like jacuzzis! Stayed on that beach for a while. i stayed in the pools for ages, was soo relaxed. Went and joined the others to sunbathe and dry off and Murray scared the life out of me by putting a massive sea worm on my tummy! Made me jump out fo my skin haha! As we left the beach I moved into the 4x4 I was going to be in before (with Sam, Dan, Charlotte, Haydn and Bruno) for a change. Bruno wasn't driving, thank god!! We drove to a shop and all got ice cream, there's not a lot of shops here as it's a national park but it's nice like that :-) After our ice creams we drove down to Eli Creek, the largest creek on the island has a flow of 80 million litres of water a day! So it is basically a natural lazy river! There's a walkway up to a point where you get in and the flow carried you down to the beach, shame we didn't have rubber rings, would have been awesome! Was pretty cold but beautiful as it flowed through the rainforest. We went down twice then chilled out on the beach for a while. Murray had gone off to find us a camping spot and he got back and we followed him to it, this one was right on the beach, amazing! We set up our tents and then it was dinner time, and my time to cook! Spaghetti Bolognaise is my speciality and I ejoyed cooking it for everyone, took a while and was nothign without all the ingrdients I like to use, but the girls seemed to like it!! Chatted to the Canadian girls for the first time properly and they were really nice :-) Once we had all eaten and washed up, Murray took us all down to the beach for some drinking games - it was such a good evening! The games he chose were evil though, lots of downing drinks then doing some sort of spinning around, think he was trying to kill us! We were in teams and it got pretty competative! We all joined in though which was awesome (apart from Bruno who went to bed at 8! He's crazy!) and it was the funniest thing to watch, ever. I nearly ended up in the sea at one point!! We went back to camp and did flip the cup (too many times!), the limbo, bite the box, and a few more little games. Feeling drunk just thinking about it actually haha. but was wicked fun, we all sat round talking. I went to get more goon from Patrick and Supermans tent and laid down for a "quick moment" then fall asleep in there! When I woke up when Patrick came in I decided I couldn't be bothered to move so stayed in their tent again (Cecilia said she liked having the tent to herself so I knew she was ok)! I think a few people had gone back to the beach but i was ready for my sleep and slept well again! Think it's the goon! Was a really good night though and felt like a proper group :-)
