Well I tried quite hard not to spend all my money on activities this week - Zoe came out of hospital on Tuesday Afternoon but the plan was to wait around and see how she was feeling for a few days...I've had some pretty nice guys in the room this week - we took a trip up to the Gondola one day which takes you up the mountain behind Queenstown for some fantastic views. We watched some people do their bungy jumps and rode the Luge which was brilliant. Its a cross between toboganning and go - carting (Matt you'd love it - I hear there's one in the north Island too so we'll look it up!) we paid for 5 rides (lasting about 3-4 mins each down a 800m track) and got 2 free as there was a special offer on. I was with a guy called Chris from Weston Super Mare and Ian from Germany (We nick-named him Schuey as he was so fast around the track!) Took quite a lot of corners on two wheels (lots of sreaming in the process - as you can imagine!) and only had the smallest cut on the palm of my hand to show as a war wound byt the end of it! In between rides we got a chairlift back up to the start so it wasn't too strenous at all!
On Thursday Zoe told me that she wasn't sure if she wanted to go home or not and that if she stayed she'd hang around Queenstown till after Christmas - that was too long for me so she paid me back for the van and I bought a ticket on the Stray bus to travel around instead. There was $200 off (about 70 quid) for a Christmas special so that was pretty cool too :) I arranged to leave on Sunday morning but when Sunday rolled around they didn't come to pickme up as the girl on the phone had given them the wrong pick-up point! This was heaven sent really as on Saturday night Myself and the 5 boys in my room (I know this keeps happening to me!) went out to town and got rather drunk! Made it back in time for four hours sleep and wasn't feeling particularly good sunday morning!! So we all slept in late and then went on a treck to the supermarket to get stuff for a bbq in the evening.. Monday morning I take off for Milford Sound on the Stray bus (Ooooh and also Stray paid for my nights accommodation in Queenstown on Sunday to make up for forgetting me so it all worked out rather well...!)
