So..we anxiously set off to catch our next ferry crossing to koh-Phanghan, with no evidence of green faces on board and the captain being made aware that Claire (meathead) was to be seated in the middle of the boat to keep it level I was a little more relaxed until the staff tried to give us what he called sea sickness tablets (decided not to take them!)! Anyway..we arrived an hour later after a pleasant-ish crossing! Jumped in a cab to our pre-booked bunglaows (silvery moon) not a good start the taxi man couldn't find it, we eventually arrived and stumbled down a 100m hill into the jungle, greeted by a lovely thai lady, however the place was deserted, bungalows were nice with a little beach but were a good 10mins cab ride from anywhere so paid up and decided to go elsewhere, headed to nearest town Haad rin and found v nice resort for the same price with a bunglow on the front and nice swimming pool and bar area! After an arrival beer we were finally relaxed! booked 3 nights there so we could stay for black moon party on the Sunday, so we sunbathed, shopped, ate and drank for 3 days! Hired a little scooter thing to explore the island, came across some more shops, stopping every 10metres was barely worth it but for 1.50 we thought it would be a giggle, so I ran out of petrol and got stuck on a hill, should have known the pink bike would have been dodgy!! Sunday arrived, relaxing day to prepare for the party, had an early dinner, met a group of people from plymouth, so had a bit of a social with Singha beers towers in nearby bar then headed to the black moon party a little merry!! So 300Bht to get in, we hadnt budgeted for that, was an experience, really good atmosphere, massive dancefloor strobe lighting on the beach, er..hardcore dance music and people on drugs everywhere, don't worry mum we refused all drugs offered! so we found some people on our wavelength, a group of girls from leeds a couple of American guys and our friends from plymouth and continued drinking, playing games on the beach till about 4am, not feeling completely safe didn't get into my usual drunken state falling over on dancefloors so not to worry! Woke at 11.45 on the Monday realising we's missed the 11.40 ferry to Koh-Samui, a quick pack up and check out at 12! Feeling a tad jaded, had a relaxing lunch and got the 2.30 ferry crossing!
