Lovewells vs The World
Daniel: Today we took a watertaxi on the Hudson River. Did you know that once a plane had to land there? A huge jet skimmed along the water but the pilot landed it safely and nobody got killed. The river is so big that yachts and tall ships sail on it! Our water taxi took us to all the important things to see in New York, like the 9/11 memorial, intrepid museum, Wall St, the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, a restaurant cafe bakery place where the only thing they make is Key Lime Pie (delicious!), the Manhattan skyline, the Chrysler building and the World Trade Center. The boat was fast, and really hard to stand up on because it moved around so much on the waves. The tour guide was fun and gave us lots of tips of where to go and what to see. We got wet. Again! The 9/11 memorial was a bit too sad but it was good to visit it. The youngest person who died was 2 years old. And the oldest was 86. There was a very special tree that survived and they call it the survivor tree. On our way back to the water taxi we found some squirrels. One of them was super friendly, he came up and touched me with his purplish claws. We gave him some nuts and he climbed up and down the fence. It was so great, we didn't use zoom on the photos! To finish our day we went to another famous restaurant called Juniors where we went to try new yorks best cheesecake. We tried original and raspberry swirl, and they were TOO GOOD! We also devoured a marshmallow fluff sundae, also very good. To sum it up, I would say New York was sunny and crazy and packed full of fun.
