The past 2 days have been pretty busy. Yesterday we took the train from Dublin to Limerick. It was a 2 1/2 hour ride and we saw lots of countryside out the windows. It looked pretty much like Ohio for most of the ride. There were lots of cows and sheep. We had a nice time in Limerick and like it better than Dublin. The 2 main things we did were to go in St. Mary's Cathedral (built in 1180, I think) and King John's Castle. The castle was especially good. Then we came back to Dublin.
Today we were supposed to take a bus trip to ancient stone megaliths, but no one else had booked that bus so they cancelled it. Instead, we got a partial refund and went on a different trip, which took us to some amazing hills covered with peat and purple heather plants. It was very scenic, with nice clouds and everything. We even saw a rainbow later. It's called Wicklow. Also on the trip, we visited St. Kevin's monastary and it was very nice too. Then we went to a little historic weaving mill which wasn't that interesting, but not bad.

Bob Sounds like you have been running non stop since you got there. How's the food? Brian, did you find anyplace that serves a great peanut butter sandwich?
Marian Just got back from I-76. Rose said to tell you that she called her relatives in Italy. They were away until Monday. She will try again. Sounds like the trip is going well.
Richard How is the food? Has the weather been any better since you got there or is it still cloudy and rainy?
Brian We have had some interesting food. No sign of any peanut butter sandwiches. We had a "traditional English breakfast" this morning. It was baked beans, a sausage link, half a tomato, a fried runny egg, 4 fried mushrooms, ham, a hashbrown cake, and a slice of black pudding. Black pudding is made from blood and fat. Kayla says it tastes like stuffing at first, but then just tastes nasty. Lots of packaged foods here have no preservatives. Pops advertise as "sparkling fizzy beverages" and come in 500 ml. bottles. Thanks for the update, Marian.
