Started today with Bollywood dance session, it was a laugh and lots of fun, although I will not be taking it up as a hobby any time soon! Shower, then breakfast, then left for Maitreyi college and met my student partner Nidhi.
She is lovely, 19yr old Physics student, in 2nd year, and her father is a civil Engineer. She is very enthuastic about going to the UK, but so far hasn't travelled anywhere inside or outside India. We then had a presentation about 'space' (v.random) and how the area we live in can give us different feelings and perspectives and how politics and economics affects the 'space'. Was random, but we finally got into it by comparing Indian spaces with UK spaces (eg parks) We then went outside and chilled, talked about UK and India. Then had a talk about our Carbon Footprint (which we later discovered was quite new to them) But again very random! Then the two of us snuck away to the canteen and had some lunch, fried bread with spicy blended vegetable studd, very nice!
Dance, singing and tallent show, but then we all got up and danced, so crazy and unreal, we all got So sweaty, but danced through! It was one of the most Sureal experiences ever!
So after our crazy dancing or 'Jamming' session we got on the bus to go back to the hotel where I napped for an hour(YAY!) then out again to the WIlliam and John talk, the discussion/debate got very firey! Heated debates, some significant arguement from both positive and negative sides. I think Nick had to fight t stay positive! Very informative and political/religious views about Indias Future!
