On the way to Taupo the bus stopped off at the mighty Huke falls, which was the best waterfall i saw in Nz. We spent the afternoon having a look around the town and all met for a mexican next door (3 buses all together). After a few drinks we decided to enter in the quiz at the local irish bar Mulligans and ended up winning - a $150 bar tab - and so the night goes on.
The next day was an early start - 5am for the mighty Tongariro Crossing. This was an awesome day although we couldn't make it the whole way due to weather conditions. It was still worth it though as we still saw some amazing things and it was still a very long tiring day.
Thursday came and i decide to do Rock n' Ropes which was a high ropes course claiming to be the best around. It was relatively cheap and so i decided to give it a go and was it worth it. I met yet another good group of people - 2 being form Abbots langley! - and we had a right laugh. The giant swing that i did here was by far the scariest thing i did in Nz - much worse than the bungy. That brought an end to my stay in Taupo and the next day i moved on to Rotorua.
