Hola all!

So my emotions here in spain still are going back in forth from day to day. Yesterday I had a great day of class and i understood everything and i talked a lot in spanish to my proffesors and padres and i felt really good about class and everything but now. However today we talked about our first practice test on friday.... ah!!!! But things are getting better and class is def. helping my spanish and my communication here which is great! its wonderful to go to class and finally learn what my madre has been saying to me for a week. Its much easier than trying to memorize a list of spanish words. Going out and using them is the easiest way to learn it. However, i am still speaking a lot of english with my american friends....i´m working on that tho. I have plans to hang out with some of the students the program paired us up with so I can practice my spanish! exciting!

Also the salsa and merengue dances were so much fun! and then this weekend with the big festivals i found out that there will be salsa and mergengue music in the streets so I´ll get to practice my moves. Good thing i have one more class before this to practice!

We went to the beach all the locals go to today because the Alicante beach is usually packed with tourists. It was so beautiful and the waves were a lot bigger and it was a lot less crowed of course! I managed to do some homework on the beach because tonight one of the girls has a bday and we are going out for ladies night!

Then tomorrow i´m going to play bball with the CIEE group and the have my next dance class and then run 7 miles with one of my advisors who runs half marathons...he thinks i´m loca that i ran a marathon...and he´s kinda right. lol o wait when did i leave time for homework tomorrow....

Also i never told you about where i live in Alicante. I live in the heart of downtown. Meaning I walk by H & M and Zara everyday on my way home. I´ve walked in and looked a couple of times but its getting really hard to resist not buying!!! ahh!!! rebajas in july....only a few more days but a new outfit for going out to the festivales would be really nice....hm...anyway the city is really beautiful here. there are beautiful plaza and ancient building in many different places. And I´m starting to know my way around. A lady asked me for directions in spanish the other day and I helped her. It was pretty cool :)
