Today Kerry took me out to a little town about half an hour's drive away from Dundee called St Andrews. St Andrews is known as the home of golf & is where the very first golf course was built. It's also the town where Prince William went to university & where he met Kate Middleton (interesting piece of trivia for you there!). It's a very posh university where the rich, famous, or uber smart Brits go. There's even a store in town called Jack Wills University Outfitters where all the rich university kids go to get cool uni (& really expensive) clothes. The sort of unofficial uniform of the St Andrews university. I bought a pair of boxer shorts to sleep in that were on sale. Still reasonably pricey!
It takes a while to get going in the morning with the little one so by the time we got out to St Andrews it was about lunchtime. It had also just started to rain so we figured it was a good time to take refuge in a warm café. I had a lovely warm piece of quiche with baked potato (everything comes with baked potato here) & salad, then we took it in turns to eat while the other person held Noah because he just didn't want to settle in his pram. While Kerry was up ordering her lunch & I was holding him, somebody came up & commented on what a beautiful baby he was (the implication kinda being that he was mine). I was glowing with pride although I had to admit that his gorgeousness had nothing to do with me hehe.
After lunch we went for a wander through the old cobbled streets of St Andrews, having a poke around in shops looking for a baby outfit for Noah & some other bits & pieces. We also visited the original golf course & had a look inside the St Andrews golf store next door - super posh! We picked up some cute cupcakes for desert from a local bakery then headed home in time to pick Taylor up from work.
In the evening Kerry-Ann made AMAZING spag bol! SO good :D I once again rejoiced in how good it is to have home made food :)
