Sunday morning I packed up & got ready to move on to Dundee. Esther, Jess, & I all went out for lunch in town at a Scottish pub, although I opted out of having Haggis once again. Somehow I just do not feel the need to complete my life experience by eating minced offal…imagine that? :P We said goodbye at the train station & I tried hard not to think about the indefinite period of time that would go by before I would see Es again…probably that won't really hit home until I get back to Perth I think, but we're really, really going to miss her!
Dundee was only a little over an hour away from Edinburgh & I had no troubles finding Kerry-Ann & Taylor, who were parked outside with wee gorgeous Noah in the back. Kerry-Ann & I worked together at the Body Shop for the last two Christmases while she was over living, working, & traveling in Australia. While she was there she met her lovely boyfriend Taylor (who's from Vancouver, Canada), & the two of them welcomed their gorgeous little boy, Noah, into the world about 3 months ago! Oh and he is SO gorgeous! He has his Mum's eyes (big & blue), & nose, and his Dad's hair & dimple in his chin.
We were staying at Kerry's Dad's place because he was away for a while & needed somebody to house sit so I was lucky enough to have my very own room, wait for it…with A DOUBLE BED!!! Luxury! :D Kerry kept asking if I was sure it was OK, I'm like, are you kidding?? I haven't had a double bed, let alone my own room for months! It was amazing! Once I was settled in I got to have a cuddle with Noah - he's at such a lovely age where they're all smiley & gurgling & their limbs & facial expressions seems to be still a bit beyond their control at time hehe He head butted me pretty good once when I was holding him, but he's cute, so of course I forgave him :P
In the evening Kerry-Ann's Mum came over for dinner & we had a lovely home cooked meal, which again, is complete luxury for a backpacker!
