Hello there!

Only 4 days now til the big departure and I am all systems go! The going away party was a huge, 12 hour, over-indulgent, food and beverage-filled success =) Thankyou to everyone who came along and made it so special...to those off you who couldn't make it...you missed out big time! My cupcakes were ridiculously good (not that I'm one to boast), go ahead, check out the photos, I think you'll find yourself filled with a deep sense of regret! =P No, I understand, and hey, there's always the coming home party to look forward to!

So the US visa problem finally got itself sorted after a somewhat terrifying appointment at the consulate where I got put through security clearance checks and yelled at ("Hurry up! We don't have much time!"...it was 8:15 in the morning and I was 15 minutes early for my alloted appointment time but hey, whatever, I'm not gonna mess with the system!) AND my official acceptance letter from SFU came through 2 days later - not a moment too soon!

So I'm kinda at the stage now where I'm just gonna cross my fingers, get on the plane, and hope for the best! First stop is Sydney, where I'll be seeing Bri perform, spending a few luxurious nights staying at the Rocks between the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, and just generally being fabulous =D
