Hey guys,
Wow my final blog reporting currently from Cairns, This is a sad time for us, we are due to leave on thursday to fly to Singapore, meaning this is our last few days in Beautiful Australia :(
We had a blast the last few weeks since my last blog, we have done so much. We had a random funny Christmas day sat in the 36degree heat in swimmers, eating beef burgers haha! Random and totally different!!!!!
We flew the next day to Sydney in preperation for NEW YEARS EVE!!!!!! We acted like total tourests in sydney! we got to see much more this time round.... We spent boxing day in a hotel close to the airport. When we landed the weather was 18degrees and very dull, this was freezing to us after 4 days in Cairns and working though to the tropics. I even got out my jeans and wore them, first time in Oz, CRAZY!!!
We went for a walk and ended up playing a few games of bowling and had a lovely meal! Again a random day but very cool!
We moved on in the morning to our pre booked accommodation in the centre of Sydney, really close to the main street, George street.
We had such a laugh over our 5/6 days in Sydney, we walked pretty much the city, went to evey shopping place you can imagin! We had some lovely treats in cluding a Lint milkshake, from a proper Lint shop, it was amazing! God how much i would love another lol!
We went to Paddys market, this was full of Chinese stalls, very cheap and awesome to look aroud, always busy and great for souvener shopping!
We mouched though the chinatown, this was cool. We also went to Darling Harbour, where we would always venture back to now and then, it is situatued on the walf with very classy restaurents and bars, and a larger shopping centre!
We went to a place called Surry Hills, we loved it here, full of vintage shops, very old school and interesting! while in the ran of course!! Strange weather!
We had many random adventures, throughout our time here, including our walk to the Botanitcal gardens, via Thd Domain, and Hyde Park, it was lovely, we walked all along the gardens which run alongside the Harbour, we had a wicked site seeing spot where it over looked the Bridge and Opera house!
On new years eve it self we got up at 7am to be at our spot for 9am, no one was there we were eager beavers, we took and hamper and sat therew for 15hours waiting for the fireworks, some may say crazy but we were so happy that we had our best spot onm the harbour! We sat at The Rocks, right betweent he Harbour Bridge and Oper House, it was perfect! The show it self was so amazing, words can hardly explain the crazyness of it all, Ive never seen fireworks like it, and wish i could do it every year!!!!
We met up with our good friend Mitch who took us on a night out in sydney and boy, i never want to drink again, he killed me!!!! We had to rock up at his house the next morning, and boy i was a mess, his mum sent me straight to bed to sleep it off!!!!! AWESOME NIGHT!!!
We stayed at mitch's for 4 nights, lovely :) We always have a good time there, they look after us so well!
We ventured to Mainly beach vis the ferry this was awesome! We like Mainly, but so many people.
We took a trip to Bondi beach, world famous!! it was awesome, so busy again but really nice! we sunbathed before it started raining haha!
Took us forever to get home as there were so many people using the buses etc! Madness!
Grant Mitch's dad was so kind to us he took us all the way top Palm Beach where home and away is filmed, we loved it, its so cool, Very posh there though and mega rich people like to stay there!
He was our personal tour guid, and stopped of at various beachs along the way home, really nice and had a brilliant day!
the rest of the time, we bummed out watching movies and relaxing :)
Grant kindly took us to the Airport early hours on the 7th, to catch our flight back to Cairns, gosh the time had flown by!!!!!
We are back in Cairns now, and the weather is crazy, one minuite it is hammering it down with rain, and then a second later its gorgeous hot sun shine! we try to sunbathe inbetween but its very difficult haha!
We are excited to move on as we are running low on money and eager to see family, but our time her has been brilliant and will be very emotional to leave!!!
Sorry this blog has been bullet poited, and i have probably left lots of info out, but the internet time is running out, and i must venture back into the sunshine!
Hope all are well and will update you a brand new blog from SINGAPORE whoooop!!!!
WE LOVE AUSTRALIA!!
Loads of love
