Day 4.....
Wow can the days get any better than this :)
I awoke to the sun beaming into the tent at 7 am. I got up and took Kaleigh to sit on the beach at lakeside campground on Kootney Lake and took in the warmth of the sun.
I had breakfast and broke down camp while T went to Ainsworth Hot Springs.
We drove to Balfor and bought fruit at the ferry terminal before climbing aboard the Osprey 2000 for a 35 minute trip across Kootney Lake to Crawford Bay.
In Crawford bay we stopped at the Black Salt Cafe and had the most tasty wrap I have ever eaten. I highly recommend this little cafe (service was questionable but the food was fantastic)
We drove through to Creston (what a beautiful drive). We stopped at the RBC Bank to see if I could connect with my moms cousin, but it was a zoo...... So instead...... We went and took a tour of the Kokanee Brewery!!!!!
What a trip. I found the Sasquatch and got a free beer!!!!
The tour was great and when it was done we took a flashback and watched old tv commercials for Kokanee Brew. Good times!!!!
After that we fueled up at the local Husky Station, thumbs up to the nice gas attendant, he was super helpful and customer service oriented, unlike the owner of the joint who served us while talking on the phone...... Until I told her she was being rude . Geesh, some people!!!!
We then travelled through to Yahk. Stopped at Two Scoop Steve..... Yes icecream!!!!
Walked down to the river and let poor hot dog Kaleigh cool off, then we watched the goats and bought some goods from the local shop.
We continued driving and attempted to get a campsite at Moyie Lake Prov Park..... No luck....:(
We then luckily found a nice spot at Jimsmith Lake just outside of Cranbrook.
Kaleigh really likes it here, there are squirrels and groundhogs everywhere for her to keep busy, but man she crashed at then end of the night.
Had another wholesome dinner and a small campfire and then we called it a night too.
