Day 5....
Whew, what a chilly night, I could have used another layer!!!!! What a beautiful morning though.
Kaleigh decided it would be fun to track down gophers and scare them out of their tunnels and chase them.
We had breakfast, grabbed a Timmy's and left the town of Cranbrook. We headed north towards the quaint town of Kimberley and stopped for lunch in Fairmont Hot Springs.
We grabbed a java at a place called Bishops coffee and bookstore. In there was also rocks and crystals. I picked up a blue lapis crystal to add to the journey.
We drove straight to radium resort, which we sadly found out we took the wrong exit !! We went towards te golf course instead of the hot springs..... Lol. Wasn't to far to back track.
We stopped in Radium and saw 7 mountain goats.
T went to the Hot Springs while Kaleigh and I took a hike. It was too hot for Kaleigh to wait in the car for us, so I didn't get to go. Oh well, at least I got to see it.
The next part was the best part...... Lake Louise, The glaciers, and The Mountain formations!!!! Unbelievable scenery.
We hiked to the Athabasca glacier, it was extremely chilly but well worth it.
Then..... Sadly it started to rain.
We opted out of camping and found a nice hostel called Athabasca Falls Hostel, so we splurged and stayed for the night.
The only unfortunate thing so far is.... We think T lost her cell phone along route somewhere :(
I hope it turns up somewhere.
Another successful day. Tomorrow we make trails to McBride and unfortunately I will not have cell service, so I may not be able to post.
